bio

I am a working graphic artist who has evolved with the industry from Exacto knives to the latest generation of powerhouse computer graphic applications. My corporate background includes employment by graphic design studios, advertising agencies and printing companies. I founded Pam Teplitz Commercial Art as a freelance studio to concentrate on independent contract work for small businesses. I am currently using my project management skills to engage a larger audience for health care and academic clients.

In 2012, I was hired by White Memorial Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program in Los Angeles to promote and manage a Family Medicine Physician Faculty Development Fellowship. To ensure the success of the grant-funded project, I built and maintain the Cultural Medicine Training Center website and am responsible for all recruitment activities for the medical faculty development project. I also assist with project evaluation and developing and disseminating training materials for faculty participants. I coordinate the onsite workshops and provide technical expertise and support for all online training activities.

I have also been acting as a consultant for the Department of Medical Education at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. I advise the department on recruiting and promotion strategies. I support the department's Master of Academic Medicine program through designing and updating marketing materials including the program brochure, recruiting emails, university webpages and social media. I provide technical support for the online master's program classes as needed. I have also devised and implemented a new marketing strategy for promoting the annual Innovations in Medical Education academic conference.

For twelve years, 1994-2006, I was the sole graphic designer for the marketing, recruiting and retention division of RE/MAX of California & Hawaii, Inc., the corporate regional service center for RE/MAX Brokers and Owners. Working side-by-side with the marketing and art directors, we created award-winning designs for a wide variety of marketing and advertising collateral including: a monthly six-page spread of recruiting ads for a statewide publication, monthly newsletters in multiple formats, postcard campaigns, institutional ad panels for local and national newspapers, posters, billboards and transportation signage, invitations, programs, and Flash intranet ads. I was instrumental in developing a comprehensive online intranet website for RE/MAX Sales Associates and offices, including an introductory interactive CD package.

I am currently completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdiscriplinary Studies at CSU Dominguez Hills with an emphasis in American Culture. I spent three years after high school at the University of California, Irvine, and I have updated my skills over the years with classes in computer and internet programming, graphic design, computer graphics, and Flash animation at UCLA Extension, Otis Art Institute, West Los Angeles College, and Santa Monica College.
